CVE-2020-11979 | 4 Apache, Fedoraproject, Gradle and 1 more | 37 Ant, Fedora, Gradle and 34 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 High |
As mitigation for CVE-2020-1945 Apache Ant 1.10.8 changed the permissions of temporary files it created so that only the current user was allowed to access them. Unfortunately the fixcrlf task deleted the temporary file and created a new one without said protection, effectively nullifying the effort. This would still allow an attacker to inject modified source files into the build process.
CVE-2020-10683 | 5 Canonical, Dom4j Project, Netapp and 2 more | 38 Ubuntu Linux, Dom4j, Oncommand Api Services and 35 more | 2023-11-07 | 9.8 Critical |
dom4j before 2.0.3 and 2.1.x before 2.1.3 allows external DTDs and External Entities by default, which might enable XXE attacks. However, there is popular external documentation from OWASP showing how to enable the safe, non-default behavior in any application that uses dom4j.

CVE-2019-10086 | 6 Apache, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 60 Commons Beanutils, Nifi, Debian Linux and 57 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.3 High |
In Apache Commons Beanutils 1.9.2, a special BeanIntrospector class was added which allows suppressing the ability for an attacker to access the classloader via the class property available on all Java objects. We, however were not using this by default characteristic of the PropertyUtilsBean.
CVE-2018-15756 | 3 Debian, Oracle, Vmware | 40 Debian Linux, Agile Plm, Communications Brm - Elastic Charging Engine and 37 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 High |
Spring Framework, version 5.1, versions 5.0.x prior to 5.0.10, versions 4.3.x prior to 4.3.20, and older unsupported versions on the 4.2.x branch provide support for range requests when serving static resources through the ResourceHttpRequestHandler, or starting in 5.0 when an annotated controller returns an org.springframework.core.io.Resource. A malicious user (or attacker) can add a range header with a high number of ranges, or with wide ranges that overlap, or both, for a denial of service attack. This vulnerability affects applications that depend on either spring-webmvc or spring-webflux. Such applications must also have a registration for serving static resources (e.g. JS, CSS, images, and others), or have an annotated controller that returns an org.springframework.core.io.Resource. Spring Boot applications that depend on spring-boot-starter-web or spring-boot-starter-webflux are ready to serve static resources out of the box and are therefore vulnerable.

CVE-2022-23302 | 5 Apache, Broadcom, Netapp and 2 more | 26 Log4j, Brocade Sannav, Snapmanager and 23 more | 2023-02-24 | 8.8 High |
JMSSink in all versions of Log4j 1.x is vulnerable to deserialization of untrusted data when the attacker has write access to the Log4j configuration or if the configuration references an LDAP service the attacker has access to. The attacker can provide a TopicConnectionFactoryBindingName configuration causing JMSSink to perform JNDI requests that result in remote code execution in a similar fashion to CVE-2021-4104. Note this issue only affects Log4j 1.x when specifically configured to use JMSSink, which is not the default. Apache Log4j 1.2 reached end of life in August 2015. Users should upgrade to Log4j 2 as it addresses numerous other issues from the previous versions.
CVE-2022-23305 | 5 Apache, Broadcom, Netapp and 2 more | 28 Log4j, Brocade Sannav, Snapmanager and 25 more | 2023-02-24 | 9.8 Critical |
By design, the JDBCAppender in Log4j 1.2.x accepts an SQL statement as a configuration parameter where the values to be inserted are converters from PatternLayout. The message converter, %m, is likely to always be included. This allows attackers to manipulate the SQL by entering crafted strings into input fields or headers of an application that are logged allowing unintended SQL queries to be executed. Note this issue only affects Log4j 1.x when specifically configured to use the JDBCAppender, which is not the default. Beginning in version 2.0-beta8, the JDBCAppender was re-introduced with proper support for parameterized SQL queries and further customization over the columns written to in logs. Apache Log4j 1.2 reached end of life in August 2015. Users should upgrade to Log4j 2 as it addresses numerous other issues from the previous versions.
CVE-2022-23307 | 3 Apache, Oracle, Qos | 26 Chainsaw, Log4j, Advanced Supply Chain Planning and 23 more | 2023-02-24 | 8.8 High |

CVE-2022-22965 | 5 Cisco, Oracle, Siemens and 2 more | 38 Cx Cloud Agent, Commerce Platform, Communications Cloud Native Core Automated Test Suite and 35 more | 2023-02-09 | 9.8 Critical |
A Spring MVC or Spring WebFlux application running on JDK 9+ may be vulnerable to remote code execution (RCE) via data binding. The specific exploit requires the application to run on Tomcat as a WAR deployment. If the application is deployed as a Spring Boot executable jar, i.e. the default, it is not vulnerable to the exploit. However, the nature of the vulnerability is more general, and there may be other ways to exploit it. |
