A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the siano smsusb module in the Linux kernel. The bug occurs during device initialization when the siano device is plugged in. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system, causing a denial of service condition.
CVE-2023-33951 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux For Real Time and 1 more 2024-06-04 5.3 Medium
A race condition vulnerability was found in the vmwgfx driver in the Linux kernel. The flaw exists within the handling of GEM objects. The issue results from improper locking when performing operations on an object. This flaw allows a local privileged user to disclose information in the context of the kernel.
CVE-2023-3772 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 3 more 2024-05-23 4.4 Medium
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s IP framework for transforming packets (XFRM subsystem). This issue may allow a malicious user with CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges to directly dereference a NULL pointer in xfrm_update_ae_params(), leading to a possible kernel crash and denial of service.
CVE-2023-4732 2 Linux, Redhat 10 Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder For Arm64 and 7 more 2024-05-23 4.7 Medium
A flaw was found in pfn_swap_entry_to_page in memory management subsystem in the Linux Kernel. In this flaw, an attacker with a local user privilege may cause a denial of service problem due to a BUG statement referencing pmd_t x.
CVE-2023-4147 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 5 more 2024-04-25 7.8 High
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Netfilter functionality when adding a rule with NFTA_RULE_CHAIN_ID. This flaw allows a local user to crash or escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2023-33952 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux For Real Time and 1 more 2024-04-25 6.7 Medium
A double-free vulnerability was found in handling vmw_buffer_object objects in the vmwgfx driver in the Linux kernel. This issue occurs due to the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing further free operations on the object, which may allow a local privileged user to escalate privileges and execute code in the context of the kernel.
CVE-2017-18017 9 Arista, Canonical, Debian and 6 more 29 Eos, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 26 more 2024-04-24 9.8 Critical
The tcpmss_mangle_packet function in net/netfilter/xt_TCPMSS.c in the Linux kernel before 4.11, and 4.9.x before 4.9.36, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free and memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact by leveraging the presence of xt_TCPMSS in an iptables action.
CVE-2019-14821 8 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more 38 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 35 more 2024-02-16 8.8 High
An out-of-bounds access issue was found in the Linux kernel, all versions through 5.3, in the way Linux kernel's KVM hypervisor implements the Coalesced MMIO write operation. It operates on an MMIO ring buffer 'struct kvm_coalesced_mmio' object, wherein write indices 'ring->first' and 'ring->last' value could be supplied by a host user-space process. An unprivileged host user or process with access to '/dev/kvm' device could use this flaw to crash the host kernel, resulting in a denial of service or potentially escalating privileges on the system.
CVE-2017-15129 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 20 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 17 more 2024-02-08 4.7 Medium
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in network namespaces code affecting the Linux kernel before 4.14.11. The function get_net_ns_by_id() in net/core/net_namespace.c does not check for the net::count value after it has found a peer network in netns_ids idr, which could lead to double free and memory corruption. This vulnerability could allow an unprivileged local user to induce kernel memory corruption on the system, leading to a crash. Due to the nature of the flaw, privilege escalation cannot be fully ruled out, although it is thought to be unlikely.
CVE-2022-0847 7 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp and 4 more 39 Fedora, Linux Kernel, H300e and 36 more 2024-01-12 7.8 High
A flaw was found in the way the "flags" member of the new pipe buffer structure was lacking proper initialization in copy_page_to_iter_pipe and push_pipe functions in the Linux kernel and could thus contain stale values. An unprivileged local user could use this flaw to write to pages in the page cache backed by read only files and as such escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2019-14835 8 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more 44 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 41 more 2023-12-15 7.8 High
A buffer overflow flaw was found, in versions from 2.6.34 to 5.2.x, in the way Linux kernel's vhost functionality that translates virtqueue buffers to IOVs, logged the buffer descriptors during migration. A privileged guest user able to pass descriptors with invalid length to the host when migration is underway, could use this flaw to increase their privileges on the host.
CVE-2021-3752 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 3 more 27 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 24 more 2023-11-09 7.1 High
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Bluetooth subsystem in the way user calls connect to the socket and disconnect simultaneously due to a race condition. This flaw allows a user to crash the system or escalate their privileges. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.
CVE-2021-3659 3 Fedoraproject, Linux, Redhat 17 Fedora, Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder and 14 more 2023-11-07 5.5 Medium
A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s IEEE 802.15.4 wireless networking subsystem in the way the user closes the LR-WPAN connection. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.

CVE-2019-3459 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 13 more 2023-11-07 6.5 Medium
A heap address information leak while using L2CAP_GET_CONF_OPT was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.1-rc1.
CVE-2019-13272 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 17 more 2023-11-07 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel before 5.1.17, ptrace_link in kernel/ptrace.c mishandles the recording of the credentials of a process that wants to create a ptrace relationship, which allows local users to obtain root access by leveraging certain scenarios with a parent-child process relationship, where a parent drops privileges and calls execve (potentially allowing control by an attacker). One contributing factor is an object lifetime issue (which can also cause a panic). Another contributing factor is incorrect marking of a ptrace relationship as privileged, which is exploitable through (for example) Polkit's pkexec helper with PTRACE_TRACEME. NOTE: SELinux deny_ptrace might be a usable workaround in some environments.
