A race condition which may occur when discarding malformed packets can result in BIND exiting due to a REQUIRE assertion failure in dispatch.c. Versions affected: BIND 9.11.0 -> 9.11.7, 9.12.0 -> 9.12.4-P1, 9.14.0 -> 9.14.2. Also all releases of the BIND 9.13 development branch and version 9.15.0 of the BIND 9.15 development branch and BIND Supported Preview Edition versions 9.11.3-S1 -> 9.11.7-S1.
CVE-2019-1559 13 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 10 more 90 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 87 more 2023-11-07 5.9 Medium
If an application encounters a fatal protocol error and then calls SSL_shutdown() twice (once to send a close_notify, and once to receive one) then OpenSSL can respond differently to the calling application if a 0 byte record is received with invalid padding compared to if a 0 byte record is received with an invalid MAC. If the application then behaves differently based on that in a way that is detectable to the remote peer, then this amounts to a padding oracle that could be used to decrypt data. In order for this to be exploitable "non-stitched" ciphersuites must be in use. Stitched ciphersuites are optimised implementations of certain commonly used ciphersuites. Also the application must call SSL_shutdown() twice even if a protocol error has occurred (applications should not do this but some do anyway). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2r (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2q).
CVE-2019-12295 4 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 1 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 13 more 2023-11-07 7.5 High
In Wireshark 3.0.0 to 3.0.1, 2.6.0 to 2.6.8, and 2.4.0 to 2.4.14, the dissection engine could crash. This was addressed in epan/packet.c by restricting the number of layers and consequently limiting recursion.
CVE-2019-11479 4 Canonical, F5, Linux and 1 more 21 Ubuntu Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager and 18 more 2023-11-07 7.5 High
Jonathan Looney discovered that the Linux kernel default MSS is hard-coded to 48 bytes. This allows a remote peer to fragment TCP resend queues significantly more than if a larger MSS were enforced. A remote attacker could use this to cause a denial of service. This has been fixed in stable kernel releases 4.4.182, 4.9.182, 4.14.127, 4.19.52, 5.1.11, and is fixed in commits 967c05aee439e6e5d7d805e195b3a20ef5c433d6 and 5f3e2bf008c2221478101ee72f5cb4654b9fc363.
CVE-2019-11109 2 F5, Intel 56 Big-ip 10000s, Big-ip 10000s Firmware, Big-ip 10050s and 53 more 2023-11-07 4.4 Medium
Logic issue in the subsystem for Intel(R) SPS before versions SPS_E5_04.01.04.275.0, SPS_SoC-X_04.00.04.100.0 and SPS_SoC-A_04.00.04.191.0 may allow a privileged user to potentially enable denial of service via local access.
CVE-2018-5743 2 F5, Isc 17 Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager, Big-ip Analytics and 14 more 2023-11-07 7.5 High
By design, BIND is intended to limit the number of TCP clients that can be connected at any given time. The number of allowed connections is a tunable parameter which, if unset, defaults to a conservative value for most servers. Unfortunately, the code which was intended to limit the number of simultaneous connections contained an error which could be exploited to grow the number of simultaneous connections beyond this limit. Versions affected: BIND 9.9.0 -> 9.10.8-P1, 9.11.0 -> 9.11.6, 9.12.0 -> 9.12.4, 9.14.0. BIND 9 Supported Preview Edition versions 9.9.3-S1 -> 9.11.5-S3, and 9.11.5-S5. Versions 9.13.0 -> 9.13.7 of the 9.13 development branch are also affected. Versions prior to BIND 9.9.0 have not been evaluated for vulnerability to CVE-2018-5743.
CVE-2018-5391 7 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 4 more 73 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 70 more 2023-11-07 7.5 High
The Linux kernel, versions 3.9+, is vulnerable to a denial of service attack with low rates of specially modified packets targeting IP fragment re-assembly. An attacker may cause a denial of service condition by sending specially crafted IP fragments. Various vulnerabilities in IP fragmentation have been discovered and fixed over the years. The current vulnerability (CVE-2018-5391) became exploitable in the Linux kernel with the increase of the IP fragment reassembly queue size.
CVE-2018-5390 8 A10networks, Canonical, Cisco and 5 more 40 Advanced Core Operating System, Ubuntu Linux, Collaboration Meeting Rooms and 37 more 2023-11-07 7.5 High
Linux kernel versions 4.9+ can be forced to make very expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() for every incoming packet which can lead to a denial of service.
CVE-2018-16890 8 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 5 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 7 more 2023-11-07 7.5 High
libcurl versions from 7.36.0 to before 7.64.0 is vulnerable to a heap buffer out-of-bounds read. The function handling incoming NTLM type-2 messages (`lib/vauth/ntlm.c:ntlm_decode_type2_target`) does not validate incoming data correctly and is subject to an integer overflow vulnerability. Using that overflow, a malicious or broken NTLM server could trick libcurl to accept a bad length + offset combination that would lead to a buffer read out-of-bounds.
CVE-2018-15333 1 F5 13 Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager, Big-ip Analytics and 10 more 2023-11-07 N/A
On versions 11.2.1. and greater, unrestricted Snapshot File Access allows BIG-IP system's user with any role, including Guest Role, to have access and download previously generated and available snapshot files on the BIG-IP configuration utility such as QKView and TCPDumps.
CVE-2018-15317 1 F5 13 Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager, Big-ip Analytics and 10 more 2023-11-07 N/A
In BIG-IP 14.0.0-14.0.0.2, 13.0.0-13.1.1.5, 12.1.0-12.1.4.1, and 11.2.1-11.6.3.2, an attacker sending specially crafted SSL records to a SSL Virtual Server will cause corruption in the SSL data structures leading to intermittent decrypt BAD_RECORD_MAC errors. Clients will be unable to access the application load balanced by a virtual server with an SSL profile until tmm is restarted.
CVE-2018-14880 7 Apple, Debian, F5 and 4 more 23 Mac Os X, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 20 more 2023-11-07 7.5 High
The OSPFv3 parser in tcpdump before 4.9.3 has a buffer over-read in print-ospf6.c:ospf6_print_lshdr().
CVE-2018-14468 7 Apple, Debian, F5 and 4 more 23 Mac Os X, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 20 more 2023-11-07 7.5 High
The FRF.16 parser in tcpdump before 4.9.3 has a buffer over-read in print-fr.c:mfr_print().
CVE-2018-13405 6 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 3 more 27 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 24 more 2023-11-07 7.8 High
The inode_init_owner function in fs/inode.c in the Linux kernel through 3.16 allows local users to create files with an unintended group ownership, in a scenario where a directory is SGID to a certain group and is writable by a user who is not a member of that group. Here, the non-member can trigger creation of a plain file whose group ownership is that group. The intended behavior was that the non-member can trigger creation of a directory (but not a plain file) whose group ownership is that group. The non-member can escalate privileges by making the plain file executable and SGID.
CVE-2018-12207 8 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 5 more 1533 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 1530 more 2023-11-07 6.5 Medium
Improper invalidation for page table updates by a virtual guest operating system for multiple Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable denial of service of the host system via local access.
CVE-2014-5209 2 F5, Ntp 25 Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager, Big-ip Analytics and 22 more 2023-11-07 5.3 Medium
An Information Disclosure vulnerability exists in NTP 4.2.7p25 private (mode 6/7) messages via a GET_RESTRICT control message, which could let a malicious user obtain sensitive information.
CVE-2014-4027 5 Canonical, F5, Linux and 2 more 26 Ubuntu Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager and 23 more 2023-11-07 N/A
The rd_build_device_space function in drivers/target/target_core_rd.c in the Linux kernel before 3.14 does not properly initialize a certain data structure, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information from ramdisk_mcp memory by leveraging access to a SCSI initiator.
CVE-2013-3587 1 F5 14 Arx, Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager and 11 more 2023-11-07 5.9 Medium
The HTTPS protocol, as used in unspecified web applications, can encrypt compressed data without properly obfuscating the length of the unencrypted data, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to obtain plaintext secret values by observing length differences during a series of guesses in which a string in an HTTP request URL potentially matches an unknown string in an HTTP response body, aka a "BREACH" attack, a different issue than CVE-2012-4929.
CVE-2022-1388 1 F5 11 Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager, Big-ip Analytics and 8 more 2023-11-02 9.8 Critical
