In QEMU 3.0.0, tcp_emu in slirp/tcp_subr.c has a heap-based buffer overflow.
CVE-2019-6690 5 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 2 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 3 more 2023-11-07 7.5 High
python-gnupg 0.4.3 allows context-dependent attackers to trick gnupg to decrypt other ciphertext than intended. To perform the attack, the passphrase to gnupg must be controlled by the adversary and the ciphertext should be trusted. Related to a "CWE-20: Improper Input Validation" issue affecting the affect functionality component.
CVE-2019-6454 8 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more 22 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 19 more 2023-11-07 5.5 Medium
An issue was discovered in sd-bus in systemd 239. bus_process_object() in libsystemd/sd-bus/bus-objects.c allocates a variable-length stack buffer for temporarily storing the object path of incoming D-Bus messages. An unprivileged local user can exploit this by sending a specially crafted message to PID1, causing the stack pointer to jump over the stack guard pages into an unmapped memory region and trigger a denial of service (systemd PID1 crash and kernel panic).
CVE-2019-6251 6 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Gnome and 3 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Epiphany and 3 more 2023-11-07 N/A
WebKitGTK and WPE WebKit prior to version 2.24.1 are vulnerable to address bar spoofing upon certain JavaScript redirections. An attacker could cause malicious web content to be displayed as if for a trusted URI. This is similar to the CVE-2018-8383 issue in Microsoft Edge.
CVE-2019-6116 6 Artifex, Canonical, Debian and 3 more 11 Ghostscript, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 8 more 2023-11-07 7.8 High
In Artifex Ghostscript through 9.26, ephemeral or transient procedures can allow access to system operators, leading to remote code execution.
CVE-2019-6111 10 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 7 more 27 Mina Sshd, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 24 more 2023-11-07 5.9 Medium
An issue was discovered in OpenSSH 7.9. Due to the scp implementation being derived from 1983 rcp, the server chooses which files/directories are sent to the client. However, the scp client only performs cursory validation of the object name returned (only directory traversal attacks are prevented). A malicious scp server (or Man-in-The-Middle attacker) can overwrite arbitrary files in the scp client target directory. If recursive operation (-r) is performed, the server can manipulate subdirectories as well (for example, to overwrite the .ssh/authorized_keys file).
CVE-2019-6109 9 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more 28 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 25 more 2023-11-07 6.8 Medium
An issue was discovered in OpenSSH 7.9. Due to missing character encoding in the progress display, a malicious server (or Man-in-The-Middle attacker) can employ crafted object names to manipulate the client output, e.g., by using ANSI control codes to hide additional files being transferred. This affects refresh_progress_meter() in progressmeter.c.
CVE-2019-5827 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more 2023-11-07 8.8 High
Integer overflow in SQLite via WebSQL in Google Chrome prior to 74.0.3729.131 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2019-5798 6 Canonical, Debian, Google and 3 more 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Chrome and 4 more 2023-11-07 6.5 Medium
Lack of correct bounds checking in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 73.0.3683.75 allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2019-5188 6 Canonical, Debian, E2fsprogs Project and 3 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, E2fsprogs and 5 more 2023-11-07 6.7 Medium
A code execution vulnerability exists in the directory rehashing functionality of E2fsprogs e2fsck 1.45.4. A specially crafted ext4 directory can cause an out-of-bounds write on the stack, resulting in code execution. An attacker can corrupt a partition to trigger this vulnerability.
CVE-2019-5094 5 Canonical, Debian, E2fsprogs Project and 2 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, E2fsprogs and 3 more 2023-11-07 6.7 Medium
An exploitable code execution vulnerability exists in the quota file functionality of E2fsprogs 1.45.3. A specially crafted ext4 partition can cause an out-of-bounds write on the heap, resulting in code execution. An attacker can corrupt a partition to trigger this vulnerability.
CVE-2019-3885 3 Canonical, Clusterlabs, Fedoraproject 3 Ubuntu Linux, Pacemaker, Fedora 2023-11-07 N/A
A use-after-free flaw was found in pacemaker up to and including version 2.0.1 which could result in certain sensitive information to be leaked via the system logs.
CVE-2019-3878 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Mod Auth Mellon Project and 1 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Mod Auth Mellon and 7 more 2023-11-07 N/A
A vulnerability was found in mod_auth_mellon before v0.14.2. If Apache is configured as a reverse proxy and mod_auth_mellon is configured to only let through authenticated users (with the require valid-user directive), adding special HTTP headers that are normally used to start the special SAML ECP (non-browser based) can be used to bypass authentication.
CVE-2019-3877 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Mod Auth Mellon Project and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Mod Auth Mellon and 1 more 2023-11-07 N/A
A vulnerability was found in mod_auth_mellon before v0.14.2. An open redirect in the logout URL allows requests with backslashes to pass through by assuming that it is a relative URL, while the browsers silently convert backslash characters into forward slashes treating them as an absolute URL. This mismatch allows an attacker to bypass the redirect URL validation logic in apr_uri_parse function.
CVE-2019-3844 3 Canonical, Netapp, Systemd Project 7 Ubuntu Linux, Cn1610, Cn1610 Firmware and 4 more 2023-11-07 7.8 High
It was discovered that a systemd service that uses DynamicUser property can get new privileges through the execution of SUID binaries, which would allow to create binaries owned by the service transient group with the setgid bit set. A local attacker may use this flaw to access resources that will be owned by a potentially different service in the future, when the GID will be recycled.
CVE-2019-3843 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 1 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Cn1610 and 5 more 2023-11-07 7.8 High
It was discovered that a systemd service that uses DynamicUser property can create a SUID/SGID binary that would be allowed to run as the transient service UID/GID even after the service is terminated. A local attacker may use this flaw to access resources that will be owned by a potentially different service in the future, when the UID/GID will be recycled.
CVE-2019-3839 6 Artifex, Canonical, Debian and 3 more 6 Ghostscript, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 3 more 2023-11-07 7.8 High
It was found that in ghostscript some privileged operators remained accessible from various places after the CVE-2019-6116 fix. A specially crafted PostScript file could use this flaw in order to, for example, have access to the file system outside of the constrains imposed by -dSAFER. Ghostscript versions before 9.27 are vulnerable.
CVE-2019-3823 5 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 2 more 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libcurl and 4 more 2023-11-07 N/A
libcurl versions from 7.34.0 to before 7.64.0 are vulnerable to a heap out-of-bounds read in the code handling the end-of-response for SMTP. If the buffer passed to `smtp_endofresp()` isn't NUL terminated and contains no character ending the parsed number, and `len` is set to 5, then the `strtol()` call reads beyond the allocated buffer. The read contents will not be returned to the caller.
CVE-2019-3822 7 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 4 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libcurl and 13 more 2023-11-07 9.8 Critical
libcurl versions from 7.36.0 to before 7.64.0 are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow. The function creating an outgoing NTLM type-3 header (`lib/vauth/ntlm.c:Curl_auth_create_ntlm_type3_message()`), generates the request HTTP header contents based on previously received data. The check that exists to prevent the local buffer from getting overflowed is implemented wrongly (using unsigned math) and as such it does not prevent the overflow from happening. This output data can grow larger than the local buffer if very large 'nt response' data is extracted from a previous NTLMv2 header provided by the malicious or broken HTTP server. Such a 'large value' needs to be around 1000 bytes or more. The actual payload data copied to the target buffer comes from the NTLMv2 type-2 response header.
CVE-2019-3814 3 Canonical, Dovecot, Opensuse 3 Ubuntu Linux, Dovecot, Leap 2023-11-07 N/A
It was discovered that Dovecot before versions 2.2.36.1 and 2.3.4.1 incorrectly handled client certificates. A remote attacker in possession of a valid certificate with an empty username field could possibly use this issue to impersonate other users.
